Life

Life...is it possible to ever have it figured out?

overwhelmed

Overwhelmed doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling.  We, as a family, have always been busy, but this year seems overwhelming.  I think it would help if the daughter who keeps talking about college, would actually realize that she needs to be more involved to get to college, stop dating the guy that is makeing very BAD choices in life.  AHHHHH.......

Whew...what a weekend.  Fun, beautiful weather and fun with the kids.  Friday night football.  The high school team is undefeated and it looks like we will be going to the playoffs.  Hopefully the weather continues to be higher than average.  Band Competition on Saturday.  The kids continue to impress.  They won Best Marching, Best Music, Best Field Commandors, Best Auxilary, Best Percussion, First Place and Grand Champions.  Sunday was a party with the kids.  We celebrated the youngest two's birthday survivor style.  Games, food eating challenge (oreos crushed saying it was dirt....craisins saying they were scabs..)....we had so much fun.  We all slept so soundly and actually slept in late waiting up and jumping out of bed to get the kids up b/c they had 30 minutes to catch the bus.

Yesterday was a BIG step.  My daughter brought a letter to me that her exboyfriend wrote her and she wanted to throw it in the fire.  Ah...they grow so fast and before you know it they are adults.

Be safe, enjoy life and live everyday like there is no tomorrow...

B-R-E-A-T-H-E

At least that is what I keep telling myself.  Seems like I can barely catch my breath this year.  Between all the kids activities, loaning my mom money (which has put me in a pinch b/c she has paid it back), and my oldest finding out she was adopted (the child physicologist told us when she was little that it would not benefit her to know and it hasn't - she found papers...we didn't tell her)....and know she is constantly giving us backtalk and what not...but is that b/c she is 17 going on 18 and is just trying to push her independence or is it b/c she knows.
